Goddess and The Baker

Goddess and The Baker
A review of the new Goddess and The Baker location in The Loop area of downtown Chicago, IL.

Guys, I have some very exciting news: Goddess and the Baker is setting up shop in the Loop and at Navy Pier (coming soon)! Go ahead and get that happy dance out of your system. Working downtown has many advantages, but I’ve never been able to find a good sit-down coffee shop close to work. It’s not that they don’t exist, but that most were just smidge too far from the central downtown Chicago area so I’m very excited about the Loop location. Goddess and the Baker is a new concept from Goddess and the Grocer that focuses on premium coffee (like Metropolis and Dark Matter), light meals, and perfectly baked pastries.

If you are familiar with Goddess and the Grocer in Bucktown or the Near North Side, you know the caliber of food and service you’re in for. I will, of course, make it my short-term goal to taste every single pastry available in the name of research. I will post all my findings on Instagram. I’ll try not to post too many pictures of the gorgeous over-sized “Eat Now Caffeinate” neon sign.

Follow Goddess and the Baker on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to stay up to date on all the latest and greatest.

Head over to 33 S. Wabash to see Goddess and the Baker and check it out for yourself. Doors open on Monday! If you see me sitting near the window scarfing down pastries and coffee, stop by and say hi (or not, depending on how much coffee I’ve consumed…).
