Summer parties are my fave and you better believe I’ll be whipping up these Easy Raspberry and Pistachio Cream Puff Pastry Cups all summer long. Eating and drinking in the sunshine with friends and family? What’s not to love? But the trick with summer entertaining is to avoid making your house even warmer when you’re
If you’re in need of some Galentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day inspiration, look no further than these Strawberry Rose Sweet Rolls! Every year, roses pop up at every grocery store, gas station, and drug store. And while I love flowers, I’ve never been one for red roses. This year, I’m getting my dose of roses with these sweet rolls
Last year I ate my weight in Pumpkin Apple Cinnamon Rolls and I had Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls for days and days. I love cinnamon rolls. I have yet to meet a single person who dislikes cinnamon rolls and I would probably faint in shock if I ever did. Since Easter brunch is right around the corner, I decided to make Spring-inspired cinnamon rolls: Blood Orange Ricotta Sweet Rolls. Moros, a blood orange varietal, are in season through March so you should go out and buy all of them. You can use them in salads, appetizers, grilled dishes, mimosas, and these Blood Orange Ricotta Sweet Rolls. The bright, intensity of the blood oranges shine against the rich, warm flavors of the sweet roll and ricotta sugar filling. And when topped with the sweet citrus icing, you’ll be in heaven with every bite.
Hey guys. I’m sorry I’ve been a little M.I.A. lately. I promise I haven’t forgotten about all of you. Last month, my grandmother passed away and I’ve been struggling to feel inspired in the kitchen. Luckily, I had a handful of recipes scheduled for the past month or so, but when I ran out of back-logged posts I started to panic. It wasn’t until The Fiancé (formerly known as The Boyfriend) and I took a much needed vacation to San Francisco, that I felt ready to be in the kitchen again. With my grandmother still on my mind, I put together this recipe for Lemon Chamomile Madeleines.
Okay, these are certainly not the first cinnamon roll muffins/cupcakes to hit the scene, but these are my own interpretation. I love cinnamon rolls because they’re adaptable, easy, and delicious. But the best part about this recipe is the portability. Normal cinnamon rolls can be a bit to messy to grab and go in the mornings, so I love that these cinnamon roll muffins are single serve.
Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I’ve been itching to share this recipe with you. These Chocolate Dipped Blood Orange Madeleines are inspired by my mom. I’ve inherited many traits from my mom: passion for design, addiction to dark chocolate, and a love of Afternoon Tea. I have so many memories of going to tea with my mom and sister and drooling over the adorable tea cakes. So I decided to make these absolutely addicting madeleines. The blood orange-infused butter and the bittersweet chocolate coating are the key to these little guys. Package these Chocolate Dipped Blood Orange Madeleines with some black orange tea, and your mom will be over the moon. She’ll brag to all her friends about your amazingly delicious gift. Word to the wise: The Boyfriend and I ate almost an entire batch in one sitting, so you may want to double the recipe.
Every now and then, everyone needs a shortcut in the kitchen. With all the baking that I do, sometimes I want a quick and easy recipe for my morning pastries. The key component to these lightning fast pastry squares: Pillsbury Crescent Seamless Dough Sheet. Normally I would make my own pastry dough, but when you’ve only got 30 minutes to spare, the Pillsbury dough sheets are a godsend. The trick to using this ready-made ingredient while keeping a gourmet taste: a really good filling. These little guys are filled with a semi-sweet blackberry compote that pairs perfectly with the melted brie. The drizzled honey on top just seals the deal. You may want to double the recipe because these Blackberry Brie Pastry Squares will go fast!
It’s finally Spring and my kitchen is overflowing with seasonal baked goods! I can’t wait to share all of the recipes with you guys. First up are these Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing. I love cinnamon rolls and all their variations because they’re easy, pair well with coffee, and are always covered in delicious icing. The bigger bonus is that The Boyfriend loves breakfast pastries, so any time I make cinnamon rolls our mornings are just a little more bearable—mostly because I’m not a morning person at all.
